It’s been such a wonderful few months, I can’t believe that it’s gone by so quickly!  I’ve been mentoring people in the Heart’s Desire Mentoring Program for a few years now. It’s been so wonderful to teach the principles of the process, because in doing so I’ve become even more clear and more centered in drawing my own heart’s desires into my life. This time of year is wonderful for looking back at the past 12 months, and assess what in your life you accomplished, and what you’d like to accomplish for the next year.

In my home growing up, every December we created what my mother called Our Heart’s Desire Boxes. These were simple shoe boxes that we covered in stickers, paint, glitter and images that inspired us.  I always loved to cover my box in images of Mother Mary and Roses, as these symbols were connected to my heart. I’d write energizing words on my box such as fun, love, laughter, family, joy, and creativity. Every inch of my box was covered in images and symbols that inspired me. When we were finished with our boxes, we’d write down all of our goals and dreams for the piece of paper. The box was turned into a sacred space for us to write down our deepest heart’s desires for the coming year. Once we had finished our heart’s desire boxes, we’d put them near our family’s alter and that’s where they would remain until the following year.  After the year, right before we were getting ready to create our new Heart’s Desire Boxes, we’d open them and be amazed by how many of our goals and dreams had been accomplished! It’s truly one my favorite rituals, and one I encourage you to do for the new year.

Lots of love and light,

Sabrina
